I first learned about Mark Menendez several years ago while shopping for art supplies at Fergie's in Pinellas Park.  I was intrigued both by Mark's skill as an artist, and his choice of subject matter. I was later reminded of his classes when Mark was featured on a  local television news program.  I decided I had to take a class with him.

From the first few minutes of my initial class, I knew that I had finally found someone who could answer my questions and teach me the skills I needed to take my art to the next level.  I found Mark  to be a knowledgeable and generous teacher with a gift for putting his students at ease.  He was quickly able to connect with each person in the room and work with them at their individual level.

I've learned a great deal from Mark since that first class, not all of it art theory.  I've gained some personal insight as well, and I've learned that a really great teacher doesn't stop teaching at the end of his pencil or paint brush. Nothing is truly taught unless it is learned.  Mark forms that essential bridge between teacher and student, and makes the learning fun.
