One day, after a few years of painting in oils, my husband, Jerry, bought me a set of color pencils while we were browsing in an art store.  After bringing the pencils home and trying them out (without success I might add), I let them sit for a year.  While in Diane's Art Place one day, I saw one of Mark's brochures and decided to try one of his classes.  To say that it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship is an understatement .  Mark is a wonderful teacher.  He never makes you feel that whatever it is you want to do is beyond your capabilities, yet he lets you go at your own speed.  To be able to work with so many different personalities in one class yet still make each of them feel special is an amazing talent.

I believe that we all have our own special talent and if we're lucky enough to be in a position to share it with others, we are indeed fortunate.  God gave me the ability to make things beautiful, and Mark showed me how to do it.

Mark is a wonderful person, a great teacher, but most important, he's my friend.  He's been a positive influence in my life and I'm honored to be able to write this and let everyone know it.
